Site Rules

1. On arrival at the campsite the keys to the DAC are in the key safe which you have been provided the code for. If you have any concerns with your site/building, please ensure that this is taken up with the Camp Warden as soon as it has been named.

2. On departure you must replace the keys in the key safe and lock, please ensure that the building has been cleaned prior to departure and all food has been removed from the building cupboards and Fridge Freezers. If the building is left in an unacceptable state, then you will be notified in writing and invoiced for the cleaner’s time. This will cost you £100.

3. The hirer must follow Food Safety Doc 1 and 2 displayed in the Kitchen of the Davison Activity Centre.

4. Any accidents and near misses must be reported and entered at the time into the Accident book found in the kitchen below the First Aid Kit All users are expected to always bring their own First Aid kit when attending site.

5. All users must undertake a written risk assessment for your camp and any activities that are being run on the site which are not run by the campsite. The risk assessment must be made available in writing to the onsite team on request, if you are unable to produce the risk assessment on request you will not be able to run your event, see link below for full details. 6. Please ensure that yourself and all leaders in your group are aware of the Purple Card (Safe Scouting and Emergency Procedures), see link below for full details.

7. If a fire onsite, please muster to the field side of the Flagpole.

8. No vehicles are to come down onto the site without permission from the Camp Warden, permission will only be granted for loading and unloading. Please support the Camp Warden with this and ensure that your vehicle is moved back to the car park when asked. When driving onsite hazard warning lights and headlights should be on and you must adhere to the 5-mph speed limit. If you are found to be driving recklessly on the campsite you will be asked to remove your vehicle instantly and will be then banned from bringing your vehicle up to the buildings.

9. Campfire circle and Alter fires / Fire Boxes must be left clean ready for the next guests.

10. All rubbish must be bagged up and removed from site on your departure. Please ensure that all rubbish is bagged in black bin bags and tied up.

11. The campsite uses a no smoking policy; we ask that any leaders wishing to smoke must do so out of site of the young people.
